As a Registered Nurse with over 17 years experience, I've spent my career caring for patients and witnessing a pattern that became impossible to ignore. Too often, I watched people progress from high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, and high cholesterol into chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease. While medications play an important role in healthcare, I found myself asking a deeper question: Is chronic disease always inevitable, or can we do more to prevent it?

The loss of my grandfather to kidney disease in 2018 changed the direction of my life. It inspired me to study nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and functional wellness to better understand the factors that influence long-term health. Along the way, I discovered a passion for helping others understand that many aspects of our health are influenced by the choices we make every day.

That’s why I created Assuage Functional Wellness, to educate, encourage, and empower individuals to take a proactive approach to their health. Through comprehensive health assessments, personalized wellness plans, and thoughtful review of laboratory findings—including functional testing when appropriate—I help clients identify potential root contributors to their health concerns and create realistic strategies for lasting change.

I have a special passion for helping individuals with prediabetes and blood sugar imbalance, but I also enjoy supporting clients with a variety of wellness goals.

As a wife, mother, Registered Nurse, wellness educator, and leader of my church's health and wellness ministry, I believe caring for our bodies is one way we honor the life God has given us.
